PEGASEM is specialised in high precision measurement of distance and speed of land vehicles. The products are designed for the harsh environments, typical in testing vehicles. Their family of sensors attest to a vast history of experience in designing vehicle test equipment.
Pegasem offers driver displays (P100 series) that can scale a digital/pulse value as well as an analog input, plus compact and powerful in vehicle test displays and measurement systems. These units work great with existing transducers – mechanical, optical or GPS. They also manufacture conventional 5th wheels, wheel speed encoders/sensors, microwave ground speed sensors, pedal force transducers, string pots, wheel hub telemetry, modular wheel hub/body mounting systems (lug nut, collet, and magnetic cap) and sliprings.
5th-wheels of PEGASEM stand out because of their precision, compactness and carefree reversing ability. The integrated sensor delivers stable measurement data even on critical surfaces e.g. on flooded test tracks where non-contact speed sensors often fail.
PEGASEM Radar Sensors allow carefree non-contact speed sensing over ground. The road surface is scanned with a 24 GHz radar beam. The internal processor creates a high precision TTL- output signal with 100 pulses per metre from the raw Doppler signals.

The PEGASEM PFS pedal force sensors have been developed for homologation tests of vehicle brakes. Many testing procedures demand the exact recording of the pedal force applied during a brake test, e.g. ECE R-13, ECE R-90, DIN70028, MVSS135 , MVSS121.
PEGASEM Wheel Speed Sensors offer high precision information as to the rotational speed of the car wheels, they can also be used as precise vehicle speed and distance transducers, and external aids for inertial navigation system dead reckoning.
For measurements at rotating parts located at the car axle the PEGASEM Modular Mounting System (MMS) is available with a 8 channel slip ring assembly in a waterproof package.
The PEGASEM MMS Mounting System is now available in combination with a wire displacement sensor. This sensor can be fitted to a vehicle‘s wheel hub and fender within a few minutes.
The P100 driver displays are used as as control monitor for the vehicle speed and as a node for the sensor wiring during vehicle tests. Furthermore the P110 and P120 units allow simple tests on vehicles like stopping distance, turning circle or round trip time.
